Our Experience

The longer the manufacturer has been operating, the more credentials it has. SPO Medical is a technology-based company established in 1997. Over the years, they have earned a stellar reputation as leading specialists in the field of pulse oximetry to monitor blood oxygen saturation and heart rate. They're at the forefront of science, developing a unique state-of-the-art patented non-invasive reflectance technology that provides a cutting edge, rapid and reliable mobile response.

Vital Oximeters are the UK and US distributers for SPO Medical products.

Warranty

Make sure the manufacturer offers at least two years warranty. Many users purchase a cheaper mass produced unit without an adequate warranty. You might find yourself paying twice the price in the long run.

Approved for sale in the USA?

Make sure the Pulse Oximeter you purchase is approved for sale in the USA.

This means that the Pulse Oximeter underwent extensive tests in order to ensure that they are 'safe and effective' to use. The approval process makes sure that the tested materials are used in the production of the goods. These measures are aimed to provide 'safe and effective' products to the consumers.

All the SPO Medical products are approved for sale in the USA.

Oximeter Accuracy

The Internet is plagued by the under £50 finger pulse oximeters and in some instances the device may be adequate: however, the capability and performance are often found lacking. Normally the cheaper the product, the less quality assurance measurements are being applied during the manufacturing process. Hence quality cannot be guaranteed. Therefore it is recommended you ensure the manufacturer has the appropriate certification available.
