The Internet is plagued by the under £50 finger pulse oximeters and in some instances the device may be adequate: however, the capability and performance are often found lacking. Normally the cheaper the product, the less quality assurance measurements are being applied during the manufacturing process. Hence quality cannot be guaranteed. Therefore it is recommended you ensure the manufacturer has the appropriate certification available.
